The addition of the button top terminal makes the pack slightly longer than an unprotected flat top 18650 battery, and the PCB offers protection from overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and short circuit.
This cell has an additional outer wrapper (or sticker) and insulator which must not be removed.

"I bought four of these batteries for my Fenix PD32 flashlight after the Fenix brand batteries I originally bought failed (just barely outside of warranty and four times the price). I have only had these batteries for a few weeks so I cannot speak to their longevity, however they fit well in the flashlight and seem to work fine. The price is excellent so I bought four instead of two. They came in a plastic battery case, so you don't need to buy an extra case for them."
