The Sanyo 16650 rechargeable battery is a popular replacement for two CR123A. This Li-ion cell measures just a few millimeters shorter than the more popular 18650 size, which, in some cases, is too large to fit properly within a user's handheld CR123A flashlight. We recommend that you measure your light's battery compartment size prior to making a purchase. It is also important to note that while the 16650 battery fits in terms of size, the voltage will be slightly higher, which could affect your flashlight's performance - two CR123A batteries, in series format, provides 3V of power, while this Li-ion cell offers 3.7V of power, which is the same as the larger, more popular 18650 size. The Sanyo 16650 button top battery provides almost the same capacity as two CR123A batteries, but with the option to recharge the cell for longterm and reliable usage.
