SOG Base Camp Axe
Simple, Sturdy Design
Perfect for camping, the SOG Base Camp Axe is a simple yet effective tool that can help you with a variety of outdoor tasks. Crafted from sturdy 1055C steel, this practically-sized axe features a 3.4-inch blade complete with cutouts on either side to decrease friction while chopping. The axe head also features a flat end on the side opposite of the blade that can be used to hammer in stakes and pegs to secure a tent or tarp. The handle of the Base Camp Axe is coated with thermal molded rubber that provides a strong grip in nearly every weather condition so there is no fear of it slipping out of the user's hand. The axe comes with a molded nylon sheath for the head that can be attached to your belt, backpack or other gear for a safe, easy carry.
