The 3.8-inch-long blade is large enough to handle big jobs yet small enough to easily fit within a user's pocket. When closed, the folding knife measures just 4.1 inches long! The SOGzilla folding knife is even equipped with a reversible belt clip for effortless attachment to a user's pocket or belt loop. Another great benefit is the partially serrated design. This gives users the best of both worlds, by combining the 2 edge types together. Straight edge knives, for example, are great for hunting and for general cutting. Serrated knives, on the other hand, are meant for cutting more fibrous materials, such as ropes. The SOG SP02 folding knife is also equipped with a Lockback design for effortless operation. The Lockback system utilizes a lever on the spine of the handle, which easily catches in the tang of the blade. When open, the blade easily locks in place. To close the knife, a user must push down on the exposed part of the spine to disengage the lock and therefore enable the user to swing the blade back to the closed position. The Lockback system is a tried and tested design that is incredibly reliable. The location of the locking mechanism prevents a user from accidentally disengaging the lock and closing the blade unintentionally. This feature is especially important for those who carry their knives with them daily.
