The push button barrel switch gives you the unique ability to alternate between the Halogen bulband 3 high-intensity LED light sources. The SL-20X LED's Halogen bulb puts out 200 lumens for over an hour of continuous use while the LEDs put out 30 lumens for an incredible 40 hours of continuous use. Also included is Streamlight's own Power Failure feature -simply place the SL-20X LED in the charger on the 'On' position and if the charger suddenly loses power, the light will automatically turn on to provide easy location and safety in a sudden power outage or other emergency situations.
The SL-20X LED can withstand the elements of demanding work environments and weather conditions. The case is made of machined aircraft grade aluminum (anodized to prevent corrosion) and the polycarbonate lens is virtually unbreakable (and O-ring sealed). The SL-20X LED has an IPX4water resistance rating, so rain and heavy splashing will not hurt it. This is a light with many unique and useful features that you won't find in most flash lights. The rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery gives the SL-20X LED next to non-existent operating costs. This model includes a 120-Volt AC charger, and works with existing SL chargers.
