Paramedics will find this light ideal for pupil and wound examination due to its non-glare lighting and the super low 3.6 lumen output mode is ideal for eye examination. The body of the light is coloured blue and clearly marked with the recognizable "Star of Life" emergency medical care symbol, making it clear that this light belongs to an emergency worker. An included nylon holster keeps the light close and accessible for situations where quick movement can literally save lives.
While it is intended for emergency work, the ProTac EMS is built with a wealth of features that make it a fantastic everyday carry, even when you are off duty. 50 Lumen output on the maximum setting is strong enough to handle most standard lighting needs, and it can be lowered if less light is needed. The light is powered by a single AA battery, a battery so widely available that it will never be an issue finding a replacement. An included pocket clip allows the light to be casually attached to clothing for ease of use or transport, and at just under 4 inches long it is compact enough to fit in most pockets.
Much like other ProTac series Streamlight flashlights, the ProTac EMS is built to the highest quality standards. The Streamlight C4 LED is incredibly impact resistant, and solid state construction prevents mechanical failure. Built from aircraft grade aluminium, this light can take more than its fair share of knocks. IPX-7 waterproofing makes the ProTac EMS reliable in all weather situations and hazardous environments.

"The LED looks like a regular generic CREE clone not like the LED in the dual fuel CR123/AA Streamlight that I have. Also the PWM is so bad on the low settings not like the constant current regulation in my other light. I'll keep it but I'm really not satisfied with how cheesy the one I got is. Green rings abound in the beam!"
"My wife and I both carry these on the ambulance when on duty. It may be a more money than a cheap pen pupil light but it will work when you need it. The cheap ones commonly used in EMS dont last long and the clip is so fragile it breaks and twists all the time. Buy it once and you wont have to buy it again."
