Description

Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA LED Flashlight

A Tactical Advancement

The 1L-1AA is Streamlight's newest addition to their combat-ready ProTac line. The 1L-1AA improves upon the 1L's design by nearly doubling its brightness, and expanding its battery compatibility to two types. It retains the strike bezel, strobe, and tailcap switch that make it a valuable close quarters combat tool. And TEN-TAP allows you to program the light with the feature set you need for your mission.

Dual Fuel = Max Flexibility

The 1L-1AA can power up with two different batteries. The mighty CR123A is known for its high voltage and 10 year shelf life. And you're already familiar with the widely available and affordable AA. Get the maximum performance out of your flashlight with CR123As, keep a few stashed in the closet for backup, and rely on AA power in a pinch.

Battle-Tested

Streamlights don't go down without a fight. Drop-proof to 2 meters, waterproof to 1 meter, and covered by a lifetime warranty, the 1L-1AA is a beast. Hard-anodized aluminum is lightweight and durable, scratch-resistant, and difficult to crush. It's a great material for a light that will be your daily companion.

Great light great throw.

"Very good light. I go into many buildings where they have bright ceiling light. The 1 L / 1 AA shines right through so I’m able to the ceiling and the systems I’m reviewing. Very dependable. I give these to my clients as a thank you. Will buy more. Doug"

Warranty Replacement

"Mine died within a year. Fortunately, there is a warranty, and it was promptly replaced once I got around to sending it in. I think the tailcap switch failed, because a bit of jumper wire let me jury-rig the battery and body into a circuit and turn on the light. I have had good luck with other Streamlight products over the years. This was probably a fluke. The new one is doing fine so far. I like the option to use a basic AA if my CR123 battery statsh runs out. Every gas station, drug store, and grocer has AA, after all. Brightness is good enough for my needs. 3 stars because I just don't quite trust this product now. Nothing wrong with Battery Junction's service though. I ordered this when COVID chaos was just getting rolling, and they were excellent."

Solid choice, remarkbly light

"Likes- dual fuel, you can find a AA anyplace. For around the house and doing stuff like looking under the sink, AA is all you need. In fact the 123 is noticable brighter, but not as much as you'd think. The 123 does reach out further though and is a good car flashlight. I'm most impressed by the weight. I forget its in my pocket. Dislikes- I'm used tothe 10 tap, this has much less options, only two of the three modes seem to be available with tail cap press. Nice to be able to program two or all three."

Good Quality but a Little Finicky and no Moonlight Option

"Almost a 5 star, but not quite there. I compared this light with my recently purchased Nitecore MT1A (1 x AA) - about the same price. Both seem to have the same good quality of manufacture. The Nitecore does not come with a holster, but the holster with the Streamlight is not great - tight and flimsy. The Streamlight is only slightly larger and has the ability to use 123A power with associated higher output and longer runtimes. Given that 123A batteries are tough to find when away from home, the ability to use AA is welcome. AA batteries don't rattle when installed. The Nitecore comes with a removable head and tail-cap so if you have a leaky alkaline battery you have a chance to remove it. The Streamilght does not have a removable head, so I would stick to using Eneloop or Lithium AA for the simple reason that if you get a leaky alkaline you have no easy way to remove it from the tube. Neither of these lights will tail-stand. The Streamlight user interface is finicky, requiring precise depth of push and time interval to change modes. Nitecore comes with spare 0 ring and rubber clicky cover - Streamlight does not. Streamlight pros - Ability to use high performance 123A and also widely available AA Streamlight cons - no head removal, no spares included, finicky user interface, no moonlight mode, no tail-standing, suicide bubble packaging. Nitecore pros - Spares included, good user interface, moonlight mode, head is removable. Nitecore cons - peak output limited by AA only power source, no tail-standing, no holster. Overall I prefer the Nitecore, but nice to have both. As a footnote, alkaline batteries have been leaking a lot over the past few years - even when well inside their use by date - and even Enegizer and Duracell. For this reason I use Eneloop or Enegizer lithium whenever possible."

"Item of great quality typical of Streamllght. Have purchased other, not-so-name branded lights and other lighting accessories in the past with poor results, sometimes right out of the box. Will purchase other name brand products in future."

Great All Around EDC Pocket Flashlight

"This is part of my everyday carry (EDC). One can be anywhere in the world and one will always find AA batteries in case the juice runs out. Small enough to carry in your pocket and forget its even there, versatile and powerful enough to do just about everything within a close proximity. In my opinion, this is one of the best pocket size flashlights for the price. Don't leave home without it."

Streamlight ProTac 1L-1AA

"I was searching for a 'Single Cell' CR-123A Flashlight that was as near to 5' OAL as I could get. I have so many CR-123A Batteries with unknown purchase dates, and I didn't want to risk mixing them in a double cell light. Even though this light is only 4. 2 OAL, it still feels large enough in my hand that I won't accidentally drop it. It's well built. The clicker button is crisp. The pocket clip is super strong so it's highly unlikely it will come off by itself. It also comes with a nylon holster if you prefer to carry it that way. It's plenty bright with a 'narrow-ish' beam. Not a large 'side-to-side' beam but enough to see what's in your immediate vicinity. The anodized body looks good with a quality finish. No light/dark spots. It's even all the way across. The Coyote finish really stands out. I have only one gripe on this light. It's made to stand up by itself on one end, but the clicker button overrides the height of the back end so you cannot place it on a table straight-up so it's points to the sky. At least mine will not work that way. Other than that this is a terrific light. It comes with a CR-123A battery, as well as an AA battery. It will work with either/or so if you don't have another 123 battery, you can drop in a double A and it will also work. Not as bright but it will still work very well. The fact that it can run on two different batteries can come in real handy if you're away from home. 123 Batteries are not real common but AA batteries are everywhere. Hats off to Streamlight for making this light. I might even buy a few more of these."

Great light for the price!

"I purchased this light as a gift, already carrying one of the same. It makes a nice powerful EDC light. It is very light and the strobe effect is good. It has a fairly tight beam that makes it seem more than 350 lumens! I own many good tactical lights but for now I am using this one. Well worth the money."

Dual fuel: dual win

"A handy and flexible flashlight for your car or EDC carry. I've been carrying this light for several months and appreciate the intensity 123's provide while being able to drop in a AA in a pinch (or better run-time). Plenty tough for my needs and both battery options provide good performance in accordance with the defined parameters of the flashlight. Thanks Battery Junction and Streamlight!"
