"I would recommend this for camping or boating or a general use emergency light. It's tough, weather resistant and has a great throw. The spill isn't impressive but the throw sure is. Objects at a distance are easily identified and illuminated. It's a tough light too. I have seen others use them as weapon lights on rifles."

"Growing up I had the ubiquitous D & C cell flashlights with incandescent bulb. They were just what was available then. I later bought Maglites both D & AA and they were great. When I receive this light as a gift from a client, I put away the Maglites. This is a great pocket light for many night time activities. I keep an eye on my dog, look for coyotes, racoons and other varmints while he\'s out and have one mounted on my \'anti-assault my dog rifle\' in case we have an issue with another attack on him. Great for dispelling the darkness."
