Good light, but could be better
"I have the SL 1AAA Protac and like it a lot, so I thought I would like the SL 2AA Protac just as much. I found the 2AA very slippery. I put grippy tape around the body to get a better feel, just as I did with my Protac 1AAA. The tint is on the warm side. The beam has a prominent center hot-spot with a good, usable spill-light. The pocket clip is very firm and provides a secure hold. It is removable, but not without leaving scratches on the body. The switch has a strange feel to it because there is space between the rubber cap and the actual clickie underneath it. This freeplay is very noticeable when you're using a half-press to cycle through the modes. (Same thing with the SL 1L 1AA Protac, whereas the SL 1AAA Protac has a very positive feel with no freeplay. ) I got used to the clickie after a few days of playing with it though. Changing the modes is easy with the Ten Tap. Runtimes were slightly less than advertised with Duracells (about 10%) and even less with Eneloops (about 20%) on HIGH. The nylon holster is a tight fit. The velcro flap and velcro belt loop work fine though."
