"Overall like the flashlight. No battery voltage indication though . . ."

A flexible lighting tool for any occasion, the Sunwayman V25C combines heavy duty LED power and precisely adjustable output. Power packed with a CREE XM-L2 LED, this light is capable of reaching up to 780 Lumens! At full power the Sunwayman V25C can cast a beam that reaches over 370 feet, perfect for late night exploration. The V25C's tactical style body makes it easy to carry and operate, whether you need it for everyday use or tense combat action. With durability and flexibility to spare, this light is a great choice for all flashlight users.
The standout feature of the Sunwayman V25C is its interface, which features a magnetic control ring that allows users to select the exact amount of light they need. This control ring swivels with full 360 degree range, and cannot be over adjusted - it just keeps on spinning! Light levels range anywhere between the full 780 and down to 0.1 lumens, and can be adjusted to match the lighting needs of any task. Primary on and off function can be controlled with a tactical style tail switch, and the light level you choose with the control ring is memorized even when you turn it off.
A defining trait of Sunwayman lights is their heavy duty feel and durability. The Sunwayman V25C is crafted from lightweight yet durable aircraft grade aluminum, which is rated to take any sort of bump or drop you can throw at it. The electronics are gasket sealed and rated IPX-8 Waterproof as well as dust proof, making this a fine light to take in to hazardous environments or poor weather. Top that off with shock proof, solid state LED technology and you've got a flashlight that's in it for the long haul.

"This is a rugged, well-made, bright, versatile light. The 360 deg adjustment ring allows incredibly fine control of brightness from barely visible to full output. But the execution is slightly flawed. There is no stop at either extreme (hence '360 deg') which makes it too easy to overshoot and end up at the other end. And the effort to turn the ring is so high that it's really a two-handed process. I also have the earlier V-20 light and its ring was very smooth and easy to move with two fingers of the holding hand."
"I use a flashlight on my job. It\'s a tool to me. I hate silly features light pushing a switch multiple times to get a light level I need, or half pushes, or push and hold to switch on and off. I want a simple end switch to turn it on and off and a ring to adjust brightness. Oh, and I could care less about flashing modes. It\'s just one more thing that gets in the way. I had a V20C and except for the annoying flashing that would always engage when I wanted maximum light, it was a good light. A little more output would have made it a great light. So I had high hopes for the V25C. First all getting rid of the tactical ring was a bad idea. It rolls on off-camber surfaces and you don\'t realize how handy it is to your grip until it\'s missing. The flashing mode is gone on the V25C. Good riddance. However the REAL problem with this light is the lack of a stop on the output adjustment ring. It rotates from maximum to off with out any detect click or stop. So when trying to get full power, you\'re always switching it off and then back on until you find the cut off position. WHY??? What useful purpose does this serve? When I want full power, I just want to crank it to the max. Not search for the cut-off point. It\'s the one BIG thing that stands in the way of this being the perfect light. Why did you do this SUNWAYMAN???"
