The Survivor Firestarter is the right tool for starting a fire in any weather. It is safe, simple, durable, and waterproof; perfect for every backpack, survival/emergency kit, and tackle box.Starting a fire is easy: start a tinder pile around your kindling using dry grass, leaves, paper, pine needles, etc.; and place the blade of the Firestarter on the flint and scrape in a downward motion so that the spark ignites the tinder. In rain and extreme temperatures, you can scrape the magnesium into shavings onto the tinder and then ignite a fire with sparks from the flint. The flint from the magnesium will give you a flame over 5,000°F that will instantly ignite the tinder.The Survivor Firestarter also has a built-in compass on the bottom of the handle, and a temperature gauge on the side of the handle, so that it will help you find your way and make you prepared for any situation/emergency.Safe and easy to use, the Survivor Firestarter can be used with propane stoves and lanterns, BBQ pits, gas grills, campfires, and anywhere you need a reliable source of fire.
