"It's a great light, and the three modes are handy for not blinding yourself, but still blinding someone if needed. The large spring needs to be removed to fit in the Surefire G2 (the plastic one) but the small spring keeps the batteries and bulb fitting snugly without any rattling."

"This 705 lumen Cree XM-L does not produce a hot spot to aid quick aiming during reflexive firing like some other bulbs, but it does provide a very bright flood light promoting awesome situational awareness. It simultaneously produces enough throw to make positive downrange identification easy, even beyond 100 yards. All 3 power levels are useful, but I could only imagine using the lowest power level in a non-tactical situation where maximizing battery life is the number one priority. Expect about 2 hours of burn time on two CR123A batteries at full 705 lumen power."

Have two, one works

"The first one I have is great, very bright and all three modes are useful. The second one burnt out after only a week of use. I used it during a power outage here and I guess the heavy use was too much for the construction of the device. Now it shows only a faint glow from the LED to tell you that it\'s on. Inexpensive, but unreliable."
