A battery wizards friend!

"As a life long Electronics Hobbiest, I have studied, bought & used nearly every type of battery configuration out there! My last order included the "new" LiIon AAA 1. 5V rechargeable batteries, but I have a standard, to work with the older Nicole Metal Hydride ••• for a number of my projects. They are a COST EFFECTIVE battery, from which I build battery packs, from 2AAA's up to my 10 battery pack, creating small 12vdc supplies. These are great in powering Arduino's and other home brews, and can be swapped out in an instant. (The Li Ion's AAA's power my Single Cell flashlights, two of them)"

Q&A

What's the difference between the TENERGY-10400-NIMH-AAA-1000 and the TENERGY-10405-AAA-1000-PREMIUM-NIMH? The specification seem the same.
The Tenergy 10400 - Designed for enhanced performance in high drain applications such as digital cameras, CD players, portable audio devices, hand held games, 2-way radios, PDAs, and other portable high drain digital electronics The 10405 - are more for devices such as remote controls or your mouse on your computer.
Just got an answer to my question on the difference between the TENERGY-10400-NIMH-AAA-1000 and the TENERGY-10405-AAA-1000-PREMIUM-NIMH? The answer states the difference is that the "energy 10400 - Designed for enhanced performance in high drain applications". The product page for the 1405 also says that is for " high drain electronics". So this still leaves me wondering what is the difference. The only difference I can see is one is marked as "premium". What distinction makes it "premium?"
The Premiums do have a higher tolerance to temperature. According to Tenergy's website: These Premium NiMH batteries are enhanced to deliver consistently high power performance, whether outdoors in -4°F or 122°F.
