Terralux Colorado LED FlashlightThe TerraLUX Colorado from Lightstar Corp. is a high-performance, super bright, flashlight running on inexpensive, widely available AA batteries. Most of us flashaholics are comfortable with, or even prefer, more obscure types of batteries such as CR123A or 18650's, but for everyone else AA is undoubtedly the way to go.

Coming in at 500 lumens, the Colorado provides incredible power for a AA light. The body holds the four AA 1.5 volt alkaline batteries securely and is comfortable in the hand. With 170 meters of throw, the Colorado works perfectly for walking the dog, checking up on your back yard, or just getting around the house. This a practical light which sacrifices some tactical functionality for more common day-in day-out use. The body is constructed with high impact ABS plastic tested up to 1 meter and the head is made of hard anodized aluminum - this is a light built to last a lifetime. Terralux is a trusted manufacturer and they have not let us down with the Colorado. The interface is incredibly simple and intuitive - On/Off functionality and mode selection is all controlled through the single tail-switch. Full press to turn On or Off, and half press to cycle between Low, Medium, High, and Turbo modes of operation. On High mode, this light pumps out 250 lumens (plenty bright for most situations)and gets 3.6 hours of continuous use, and an incredible 150 hours on low mode!
