Description

TerraLUX Pro-4

Convertible LED Flashlight

Lightstar Corp. has stepped outside of the box and created a TerraLUX flashlight that is perfect for any worker on the job. The Pro-4 is a high-quality, AA powered flashlight that features a magnetic 15" flexible neck, which means you can position this light around your neck or around an object if you are looking to work hands free. The flexible neck can be unscrewed and removed so the Pro4 can be used as a normal flashlight. The ability to go from a standard light to the convertible flexible light gives the Pro-4 superior versatility. As always, TerraLUX utilized the finest craftsmanship and durable materials that make their lights some of the most reliable in the world. This model features a slick titanium grey finish. The Pro-4 is also offered in High-visibility Green.

Lighting Technology

CREE XP-G2 LED

The Pro-4 comes equipped with a CREE XP-G2 LED and produces a very bright 350 lumens in High mode. You can cycle through the five output modes via the tail switch and make your way down to the 25 lumen Low mode. The recessed tail switch prevents you from accidentally turning on the light while traveling or storing and also features momentary-on for that quick burst of light. All of this light is projected out from a polycarbonate lens with a precision-built reflector.

Power

Widely Available AA Batteries

The Pro-4 gets its juice from two AA batteries, meaning you can find affordable power just about anywhere. The Pro-4's weather resistant construction means you can take it out in harsh conditions and still rely on it to work when you need it. Machined from type II hard anodized aluminum, this light is impact resistant up to one meter.Features:

Ok product, faulty power button

"Nice power output and the multi power output is a nice plus especially when you don't need full power. My 3 star rating is based on the power button which will not work under a tactical situation. I returned the flashlight to Battery junction who with some questions said they would test the light and determine if it would be replaced or sent back to TerraLUX . . They replaced it since it was less than a week old. Sent new light with same problem so I contacted TerraLUX directly with the problem but they were unable to 'understand' exactly what I was describing. Problem; if you quickly and 'partially depress' (very important 'partial depress' lightly depress only enough pressure to flash the light') the power button in order to go between different power levels, the power button fails to function for 5 to 10 seconds. Regards from a fashlight monger,Dean"

A Truly Flexible Yet Tough Flashlight

"The flexible portion is as strong as the steel of the flashlight body. The magnet isn't just for looks, as it is strong enough to hold the whole assembly or help aim the light into a contorted position. I am a paraplegic and holding a flashlight in my teeth is always bothersome. With the Terralux, I can use the magnet and twisting extension to attach the light to my chair in order to free my hands to maneuver or work on something. You can also swap out the extension and just use the flashlight in 6' mode in or out of the magnetic clasp. It goes without saying that this light is very bright, one expects to use CR123's for this light but two AA's work and last. Years ago there was a light called the 'snake light' that was all the craze for Father's Day or Christmas. This light, in my personal opinion, is a light that should be marketed starting next Nov 1st. This is a quality, tough, bright, and incredibly useful light. Price wise, it would still be a steal if it cost 50 percent more."

Great for Auto Work

"This is a great light for 'hands free' work when working around anything metal (HVAC, Auto Work). I had a craftsman light that met an early death by truck, so needed something to fill it. Something to hold light where I need it when the power was out, or working on electrical work. This guy fills in, and does so with a ton of light. Enough light in fact that generally I have to use the med/low setting as the high is actually too bright (which is rare in a light). Great light, buy with confidence."
