"I use a small flashlight 24 / 7 . I keep it on a cord around my neck all the time. I just replaces my old Fenix aaa light with this Titanium Innovations one , and I am very pleased ! I use the lowest setting most often but , When I walk my dog at night I frequently use the higher settings. I was surprised how bright it is only using a aaa cell. It was more than powerful enough to light up the woods a good distance away and provide ample light so I don't trip over a rock or log. Switching between light levels is quick and simple. The flashlight weighs very little but packs a big punch ! For $29. 95 , you can't go wrong. Good job folks ! It would also make a great gift !"

I have the CA1-AL attached to a Victorinox Executive and another clipped to a Victorinox Farmer. One of these combos travels with me at all times. I use this light every day. There's no reason to not carry one of these combinations all times. Battery life and performance is outstanding."

Over 2 Yrs Old and Still Fantastic
"Two years of absolutely every day carry, and while I can see some shiny wear around the tail end bezel, this light is still as good as new. The 132 lumen HI setting amazes everyone who THINKS they have a good light in their pocket. Occasional use at that level, with more regular indoor use at 3 or at 35 lumens, still enables a battery to last and last. Did I mention how great it is to have it in your pocket when the lights go out for a few minutes on the NYC subway? I change the lithium battery every year, on my birthday in July, and each time I've still had around 1. 5 of the original 1. 7 volts left! I change it just to make sure I always have a LONG LIFE available if it's ever necessary. I used to always carry a spare battery in my pocket, but who needs it?"
Light-weight, but light-weight beam and water sensitive
"This was exactly what I wanted in terms of size & weight, and I liked the 4 brightness levels (aside from the awkwardness of having to turn the barrel left and right repeatedly to achieve the brightest level). On the minus side, the beam is poorly-focused, leaving a less-than-intense center spot and way too much peripheral scattered light. Of course, I understand that this might be desirable to some, but not to me. Finally, an inadvertent trip through the washing machine killed it. I tried drying it out in the sun for a few days, but it remains dead."
MASTERPIECE
"The CA1-AL flashlight arrived in a impressive wooden presentation box with the light key chain and pocket clip resting in the cut-outs of a soft white insert. The attention to detail of the flashlight was immediately obvious, no sharp edges anywhere and knurling that provided a secure grip without being ravenous to pockets & purses. The flat tail design allows for stable use as a candle. With the pocket clip installed on the light in the reverse position, it affords one the ability to use the light hands free by clipping the light to the top of the brim of a hat. The pocket clip can be installed in the forward position for use in a pocket or completely removed for times when it could be rapacious to pockets or purses. the key chain is also a useful feature permitting one to not only attach keys, EDC (Every Day Carry) items or clip to a belt loop but to hang it inside of a tent using a small piece of cord while still keeping it easily accessible for when nature calls in the middle of the night. The key chain can be removed leaving just the split ring or removed altogether. The hard black anodized finish and white lettering appear durable and are tastefully executed. This featherweight aluminum body version provides silky smooth threading for one handed operation while weighing the same as it's titanium sibling at just 14 grams. The lens is crystal clear and being made of glass should remain like that. The reflector is made of aluminum to avoid discoloring and cracking. With a ANSI-NEMA FL-1 IPX-7 waterproof rating you are assured the ability to submerge the light in one meter of water for 30 minutes without incurring any damage. The Illuminati comes with a high end lithium Energizer L92 AAA battery that won't leak, installed in it. Since the light has the capability of using alkaline, lithium and rechargeable NiMh batteries, you have the option of using Panasonic eneloop pro rechargeable batteries that can have their charge topped off at any time, and won't leak, and still have the ability to to purchase inexpensive easy to find alkaline batteries while on the road. The light offers three output levels that are perfectly spaced apart to offer the correct amount of light and run time for every situation. It turns on in the lowest setting of 3 lumens, enough light to read a map in the dark without destroying your night vision plus at this level it is great hanging in a tent and has 30 hours of run time. The middle setting of 35 lumens is a great general purpose level, ideal for plugging in a wire behind the television, finding a pen that rolled under the car seat or most other outdoor nighttime lighting needs while still providing 4 hours of run time. The highest setting of 132 lumens is great for spotting distant objects, the brightness is truly stunning. At this level it is too bright to read a book by,yet still offers a very respectable one and a half hour run time. Most importantly the light beam has excellent spill and throw with no noticeable artifacts or PWM (pulse width modulation). The miniature size of the light at just over two an one half inches in length and slightly over one half inch in diameter allow it to fit into very tight spaces making it exceptionally useful around the home, office and automobile."
