The Underwater Kinetics 409 Dry Box is the mid-size option within the DryBox collection of watertight equipment cases. This rectangular briefcase measures 9.4 inches long and 7.2 inches wide. The entire unit is just over 4 inches deep, providing about 3.7 inches of internal storage space. The UK 409 Dry Box is therefore large enough to store important equipment, such as 2-way radios, gas detectors, and other sensitive electronics, yet small enough for effortless transport and carry. Will you need additional protection for your sensitive equipment? If so, we recommend purchasing the UK 409 Dry Box with pluck foam inserts. The addition of foam allows you to create a customized area in which to store more delicate instruments, such as a camera lens or a microscope. This injection-molded dry box is also available with an internal panel ring for installing an instrument panel directly within the case itself.

This medium-sized equipment case is constructed from ABS plastic and utilizes a stainless steel hinge for durable and long-lasting construction. The UK 409 Dry Box is so strong, it can even withstand a drop from seven feet high. Each Underwater Kinetics watertight equipment case is fitted with two ABS latches that securely attach the lid to the base, which creates an air-tight, waterproof seal. A silicone rubber seal along the rim also helps to prevent salt water and other damaging elements from harming your instruments. The UK 409 Dry Box is rated IP67, which means it can be withstand being submerged up to three feet deep under water.
