Great long term power outage light
"This light with five D cells has a lot of energy stored in it which gives it long run times. It will run 15 hours at 700 lumens, 60 hours at 300 lumens, and 60 days at 25 lumens. You can stand it on end and bounce the light off the ceiling and at 700 lumens you can read small print. The room is well lit too. Even the lowest setting allows you to easily see around the room with tail stand. I think tail stand is its best use. Using it outside works, but if you want to look for dear in the woods this is not a good choice. The beam is very even from edge to edge with no bright spot in the center for long distance illumination. It tends to spread out too much for long range. Overall this is a quailty well built light with outstanding battery life."
