Introducing the VC2 Smart Battery Charger from XTAR, which is the world's first 2-bay li-ion battery charger that features an innovative tachometer-style LCD display screen. Compatible with both IMR lithium batteries and small capacity batteries, the VC2 will tell you the real time power of your battery. Assuming you put in a completely drained battery, the display will show you the mAh capacity, so you can see it charging as you wait. Both channels are independent, so you can charge one battery at a time or a pair of batteries. You can charge a multitude of li-ion batteries ranging from 10440 cells all the way up to 25500 cells. Gone are the days of worrying about overcharging, over-discharging, shorting out the circuit, or reverse polarity, as the VC2 will protect your batteries and charger. Also, you can revive overly discharged batteries with the VC2, so you can resurrect those old li-ion batteries. "Bought this unit to charge up some18650s from old laptops and it worked great and more accurate than my hobby charger I was using. The cells didn't feel warm which surprised me but it charged them to 4. 2 exactly! the screen is bright and easy to see at a glance which is great when you're chasing a toddler and it is nice to know how much is being pushed into the cell, just wish it had a discharge function that showed the mah but for the money won't complain."

"This little charger is a really high-tech device in my opinion. The readout is beautiful, and informative. The operation of the device is simple and to the point, and it has performed flawlessly so far, tailoring its charge to the individual needs of each battery. I like the versatility of the USB power hook up. Buy a good AC/USB converter and this will work great off your AC outlet. Then you have the versatility of having other USB sources from which it can be powered. I want to get a solar USB panel for this and other things USB that I have. So far, I have been using this for a couple days to charge 18650's and I've had no problems at this point. I hope to get a lot of service out of this little charger. To me this type of charger, whether this one or one of the Nitecore chargers, is essential for charging safety and efficiency of Lithium Ion batteries. Put this with a good set of properly protected Li-Ion cells and you should have a safe and highly efficient power system for your flashlight or other Li-Ion-powerd devices. Do NOT fool with uncontrolled 'suicide' chargers that provide only continuous charge and to not shut off (like the cheap ones you see on Amazon, etc. ). It's not worth the risk. Your results may vary. This is not safety advice and there are no guarantees in life. Staying with properly protected and controlled batteries and charging devices, and staying in attendance during charging should throw the odds in your favor for a safe and beneficial Li-Ion experience."
